Today, after another very cold and icy start to the day, Cllr Margaret Simon reported; “I have urgently requested to use my 2021/22 Ward Budget to reinstate winter gritting in COLLEYS LANE, WILLASTON.”
“Unbelieveably, it has been withdrawn from its gritting routes by Cheshire East this winter. I have consistently raised that it is a busy road which links the busy A534 Crewe/Nantwich Road to the A530 Nantwich/Middlewich Road and which is, for the most part, residential. I have argued that it should remain on the gritting routes to no avail. I have asked for it to be reinstated to no avail. I await a response to my urgent request.”
