Doorstep campaigning to be allowed to resume ahead of local elections. Campaigners will be able to deliver leaflets and talk to voters on their doorsteps, but must remain at a distance of two metres.
Doorstep campaigning has been possible since March 8 in the run up to May’s local elections – just so long as the Government’s coronavirus rules are obeyed,
Guidance published on Friday means individual activists will be able to campaign outdoors in the run-up to the polls in England.
Campaigners will be able to deliver leaflets and talk to voters on their doorsteps, but must remain at a distance of two metres away and not enter their homes.
Ministers will relax the current ban under the third national lockdown so two months of in-person campaigning can take place ahead of voting on May 6.
Across the Crewe & Nantwich Constituency, residents will have the opportunity to choose their next Police and Crime Commissioner where Conservative Candidate John Dwyer seeks to continue the excellent work he was able to put in place during his term of office until 2015.
Crewe West residents will also have the opportunity to vote for a new Cheshire East Council Ward Member following the sad death of Cllr Brian Roberts.
Teja Vaddala is the Conservative candidate who will be standing for Crewe West. Teja is a Crewe Resident and has already been supporting residents by reporting Ward issues to Cheshire East Council.
