Flags at the Willaston War Memorial, ‘Mike Haywood Green’, Willaston Primary Academy and Willaston Social Club were hung at half-mast as a mark of respect for Parish Councillor Colin Todd, who passed away on Sunday, 8th January.
Colin was a popular and hard-working councillor at Willaston Parish Council where he had served since 2004, including many years as the Vice-Chair.
He was well-known for his role over several years, as the Chair of the Willaston in Bloom Committee and Colin played a pivotal role in 2015-17, as part of the steering group bringing forward the Willaston Neighbourhood Plan.
Colin took a keen interest in local politics and was a regular supporter of the activities of the Crewe and Nantwich Conservative Association, supporting candidates in both parliamentary and local election campaigning.
Colin will be very much missed by all who knew him and we extend our deepest condolences to his family.
Colin and his wife (who pre-deceased him in 2021) leave behind both a son and a daughter.
